THINGS TO DO

Newport & Narragansett are only a short drive apart (14 miles). Newport offers historic mansions and the Cliff Walk along with great restaurants and shopping. If a relaxing day at the beach is more your style, head to Easton's/First Beach in Newport or Narrangansett Town Beach - don't forget to stop for a frozen lemonade if you see a Del’s truck.

Here are some of our favorite attractions in the area to get you started.

BOWEN'S WHARF

Stroll around and stop for a cup of chowder at The Black Pearl, check out the yachts docked for the day, and take in the Newport sailing ambiance.

CLIFF WALK

Not to be missed! This 3.5 mile walk along Newport's pristine coastline will give you a waterfront tour of the majestic mansions and an awe-inspiring view of the Atlantic Ocean.

NEWPORT MANSIONS

The mansions of the Vanderbilts and other elite families that "summered" in Newport in the early 1900's are a must-see. Our favorites include The Breakers, The Elms, Marble House & Rosecliff. You can purchase tickets in advance or at the door.
